Community Guidelines

Loculse is a platform for discovering local cultural events, and a place built on trust between the people who share events and the people who explore them. These Community Guidelines explain what we expect from everyone who submits or interacts with content on Loculse. By using the platform, you agree to follow them, alongside ourTerms of Service.

Share Genuine Cultural Events

• Submit real events with accurate details: title, date, location, and description.
• Keep listings relevant to culture: music, art, theater, exhibitions, festivals, workshops, community gatherings, and similar experiences.
• Update or remove your listings if an event changes or is cancelled.

Be Respectful

Loculse is for everyone. When contributing, do not post content that is:

• Hateful, discriminatory, or harassing toward any person or group.
• Violent, threatening, or that promotes harm.
• Sexually explicit or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience.
• Defamatory, abusive, or designed to bully others.

Keep It Honest

• Do not post fake, misleading, or duplicate event listings.
• Do not use Loculse for spam, scams, or deceptive promotion.
• Only share content you have the right to share, and respect the intellectual property and privacy of others.

Respect the Platform

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Loculse.
• Do not use bots or automated tools to scrape or harvest data without permission (talk to us to integrate!).
• Do not post links to malware, phishing sites, or other harmful content.

Moderation

Submitted events may be reviewed before they appear publicly. We may edit, hide, or remove content that breaches these guidelines, and we may suspend or remove accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate them. We aim to be fair and consistent, but we reserve the right to make moderation decisions at our discretion.

If you come across content that violates these guidelines, please let us know at report@loculse.com. Your reports help keep Loculse a trustworthy place to discover local culture.
